Sengokuhara

A Sengokuhara resort hotel with castle-inspired European architecture and Romanesque interiors. Its balcony rooms face the Hakone outer mountains, while the hotel offers Ubako hot-spring bathing and on-site restaurants.

A guest-only free shuttle connects Odawara Station and the hotel. Local buses from Hakone-Yumoto take about 35 minutes to Sengoku-Kogen; the access page also lists a roughly 30-minute taxi ride from Hakone-Yumoto. The hotel shuttle requires a reservation by 15:00 on the previous day.

Sengokuhara

A room-only, business-hotel-style guesthouse in Sengokuhara, opened in 2017, with no restaurant, onsen or communal large bath. Japanese-Western rooms include tatami space and two semi-double beds. Japanese-style rooms have a small dining area and a kitchenette for reheating rather than full cooking. All rooms have a bath and toilet.

Located at Sengokuhara 442-12, with free outdoor parking. The homepage places Gotemba about 20 minutes away by car. The access page warns that navigation systems may not resolve the address.

Communal hot-spring baths stand apart from the guest rooms along a woodland path. Only the Fore Suite has a bathtub, containing heated water rather than onsen; other före rooms have showers.

Take a Hakone Tozan bus from Hakone-Yumoto or Odawara to the 俵石・ガラスの森 bus stop, then walk about five minutes to the entrance gate. Carts connect the entrance and parking area with the property. There are 45 parking spaces with no advance reservation. Outdoor paths and stairs, including stairs to the communal bath, limit step-free access.
