Onsen & bathing

Six on-site springs supply the garden outdoor baths, men’s and women’s indoor baths, and two private indoor family baths. Private baths are paid and require a reservation. The communal tattoo rule has a specific exception: use is permitted when the tattoos can be fully covered by two 10 × 14 cm cover stickers.

Meals & stay plans

Japanese dinner and breakfast are served in dining rooms facing the garden. The hotel does not substitute dishes for allergies, religious restrictions or dislikes; it can only remove removable items when notified ahead. A half-board Japanese dinner cannot simply be upgraded to a steakhouse meal by paying a supplement. These are important limits if dining flexibility is essential.

Before you book

Standard check-in is 14:00 and check-out 10:00, with non-smoking rooms throughout. Published dinner-arrival guidance differs: the FAQ says 17:00, while the information page says 18:00. Check your booking and plan to arrive by 17:00. The FAQ allows arrivals without dinner until 22:00. Some internal routes have steps, and the hotel says the stairs to the baths cannot be avoided.
